The Canada-Manitoba Job Grant (CMJG)
The Canada-Manitoba Job Grant is an employer-driven training support program that assists employers to obtain skilled labour to meet their needs and helps Manitobans gain the skills they need to fill available jobs.
Funding amount:
Employers are eligible to apply for up to $10,000 for each individual employee or prospective employee to assist with direct training costs.
- Small companies with 100 or fewer employees can apply for up to 75% of eligible training costs.
- Companies with 101 or more employees can apply for up to 50% of eligible training costs.
- Maximum Job Grant amount regardless of number of trainees and cost of training is $100,000
To qualify for the Canada-Manitoba Job Grant (CMJG), businesses must be:
- Manitoba-based Private employers
- Non-profit organizations
- Industry associations, sector councils, groups of employers
- Union halls
- First Nations
- Municipal governments
